Category:Liturgical Calendar
The Liturgical Year begins with the Season of Advent, followed by the Season of Christmas, followed by a period of Ordinary Time, followed by the Season of Lent, followed by the Easter Season, followed by another period of Ordinary Time which continues until the next Season of Advent. Select days of the year also commemorate specific Saints and the lives of Jesus and Mary.
The readings on this site are not official for the Mass of Roman Rite of the Catholic Church in the United States of America, but are revised from the Douay–Rheims Bible, which is free from copyright. They are comparable readings to complement the Official Readings of the Liturgy, which can be found at www.usccb.org/nab. Readings may vary depending on your local calendar (Feast Day of your church), Rite, and the country in which you live.
If black and white coloring pages are available, they accompany a colored picture of the event or the person in salvation history.
